HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Athletics Department is pleased to announce the Hilbert College Athletes of the Week for January 26, 2026.  

Nyema Blair (Women's Basketball) and Thea Nahrebeski (Women's Bowling) were recognized for their athletic performances during their respective team's run last week. 

Nyema Blair (Depew, NY/Cardinal O'Hara High School) led the women's basketball team in scoring, steals, and assists. The 5'1 point guard recorded a career-high 18 points, hitting 6-of-7 at the foul line while adding another career-high four steals in the Hawks 74-60 loss to Alfred State.  She led the team in offensive rebounds and assists at the end of the week against the undefeated league leaders, La Roche University. 

Thea Nahrebeski (Buffalo, NY/Orchard Park High School) had a standout performance at the 2026 DIII Bowling National Invitational and propelled the Hilbert bowlers to a new single season win record by the final match on Saturday.  The right-handed freshman thrower posted an impressive 193.75 average through four traditional games and placed inside the top 10 among all competitors. She added a steady 17.8 baker average over 40 frames rolled and helped lift the Hawks to a 22-33 overall record.
