2025-26 Women's Basketball Season Preview

THE 2025-26 ROSTER
2025-26 Women's Basketball Roster

Head Coach Nicole Bullock's 2025-26 squad features a combination of both incoming talent (eight freshman, two transfers) and experienced returners.

AMCC Preseason Player to Watch, Kayla Johnson will be a leader for the Hawks on and off the floor. Johnson, a junior guard and team captain from Buffalo, NY, started all 25 games a year ago, averaging 34.2 minutes a contest. Johnson posted 7.7 points and 3.6 rebounds a night while shooting 70.3% from the foul line. Her 192 points, 90 boards, and 50 assists all more than doubled her previous season-highs in those statistics.

Sophomore and team captain Learsi Sabala will look to contribute right away in her first year of on-court action for the Hawks. Sabala, a 5'6 guard from Buffalo, NY, missed her first year with Hilbert due to injury following a successful and decorated high school career at South Park. The 2023 Buffalo City Player of the Year led her team with 16.6 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 6.7 assists and is the South Park High School Career Assist Leader.

The team's lone senior, Jessee Jonathan, is entering her second year with the Women's Basketball team after appearing in 23 games in 2024-25. Jonathan, a three-sport athlete at Hilbert, recorded 33 points, 26 rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and 10 steals a year ago with a career-high nine points against Carlow and four rebounds against Wittenberg.
