HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Athletics Department is pleased to announce the Hilbert College Hawks of the Week for May 1, 2023.   

Bailey Budziszewski (softball) and Patrick Whelan (Baseball) were named the Hawks of the Week for their contribution to their team's success on the diamond last week. 

Sr. 1B Bailey Budziszewski continues to be impressive as she winds down her senior campaign.  She closed the week hitting .455 in a pair of doubleheader defeats, but her outstanding defense helped keep the Hawks in each game. Budziszewski went 5-for-11, connected for one double and knocked in three runs against Alfred State and Keuka College. She was credited with 13 putouts off 15 chances. 

Sr. 1B Patrick Whelan logged three multi-hit games in four contests last week. He batted .533, off eight hits including a double, a triple and another home run while adding seven RBI, five runs and two stolen bases against Medaille University and Mount Aloysius College.
