HAMBURG, N.Y. - The 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Seniors
Joey Haynes and
Patrick Evans, and sophomores
Reed Lesmeister and
David Earsing each represent Hilbert College Baseball as members of the 2026 CSC All-District team. Haynes earns his second consecutive CSC Academic All-District Team honor, while Evans, Lesmeister, and Earsing were all named to the team for the first time.
Joey Haynes earned his second straight CSC Academic All-District honor after leading the Hawks on the field and in the classroom this Spring. Haynes, the team's leader in average (.380), hits (54), runs (41), and stolen bases (21) earned AMCC Second-Team honors following the season. After two academic years at Hilbert, Haynes holds a 3.79 cumulative GPA following a 3.95 spring GPA.
Patrick Evans adds his first career CSC Academic All-District honor following a spring 2026 campaign that saw him earn a spot on the AMCC First-Team. Evans started 38 games and appeared in all 39 for the Hawks, posting a .352 average with 44 hits and 31 runs scored. He also drove in 20 runs on six doubles and two home runs. slugged .448 and led team with .479 OBP. Academically, Evans holds a 3.5 cumulative GPA after two academic years at Hilbert.
Reed Lesmeister had a breakout year for the Hawks as he adds CSC Academic All-District honors to his AMCC Second-Team nomination earlier this spring. The sophomore catcher appeared in 39 games with 37 starts and hit .331 with 42 hits and 23 RBI. Lesmeister led the team with 23 walks (ninth most in a season in program history) and added seven doubles, two triples and two home runs. Defensively, he caught nine runners stealing and posted a .741 stolen base against percentage (second best in program history). Lesmeister currently holds a 3.67 cumulative GPA as he pursues a degree in accounting.
David Earsing earned his first career CSC Academic All-District honor after being a mainstay in the Hawks' lineup all spring. Earsing appeared in all 39 games, making 32 starts at shortstop. He batted .213 with 10 RBI while adding four doubles and a triple. Defensively, Earsing turned 13 double plays and posted a .944 fielding percentage. Earsing currently holds a 3.51 cumulative GPA and is pursing a degree in Business Management.
*** To support a nomination, each baseball player must have competed in 90% of the team's games or have started in 66% of contests (for pitchers, it is 17 appearances, or 35 innings pitched) while maintaining a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

College Sports Communicators (CSC) was founded in 1957 and is a 4,100+ member national association for strategic, creative and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada.
