Head Coach
Scott MacLean was recognized as Co-Coach of the year in his second season leading Hawks. MacLean led the team to the first home playoff game in program history after a 5-3-1 record in the conference. Under his guidance, Hilbert Women's Soccer had a positive seven goal differential on the season. The three All-Conference honorees this season bring MacLean's total to five All-Conference players in two seasons as head coach.
Grace Zabawa did it all for the Hawks this year on her way to being named Second Team All-Conference. She became the only player in school history to win both the AMCC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week during the same season. She played about every position aside from keeper and succeeded in all areas of the game. On the offensive side, she created for her teammates through seven assists. She also showed she could put the ball in the net with eight goals on the season. On defense, Zabawa was able to shutdown opponents as needed by the team in high pressure situations.
Senior and team captain,
Kaitlyn Sobczak was the glue that held together the backline of the Hawks. The Second Team All-Conference defender played over 1,000 minutes commanding the defensive unit of Hilbert with her leadership and communication. Sobczak broke up plays and blocked shots all season, leading the defense to two shutouts on the year. Sobczak also experienced her most offensive success as a Hawk, taking five shots on net and adding in a penalty kick goal.
Junior,
Chloe Champagne was named to an All-Conference team for a second consecutive season. She followed up her Third Team All-Conference campaign from a year ago with an even better junior year, earning Second-Team honors. Champagne proved to be a dynamic weapon for the attack of the Hawks all year, contributing to ten goals on the season. Her pace and ferocity caused problems for opposing defenses, leading to six goals and four assists. She tallied her first career hat trick this season, with a three-goal performance against Carlow.
