HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Athletics Department is pleased to announce the Hilbert College Athletes of the Week for April 27, 2026.  

Gregory Lowry (Baseball) and Kristopher Newman (Men's Lacrosse) were recognized for their athletic performances during their respective team's run last week. 

Gregory Lowry (Niagara Falls, NY/ Niagara Falls | SUNY Niagara) tossed a complete game in the Hawks 6-2 AMCC win over Mount Aloysius College April 27th.  The 6-0 right-handed pitcher struck out eight Mounties without allowing an earned run. Lowry did not allow an extra base hit and only walked one on the day and improved to 5-3 while recording his second complete game of the year. 

Kristopher Newman (Milford, VA/Matoaca | Medialle) delivered a career-defining performance with seven goals on 14 shots in the Hawks 11-2 road win at La Roche University. The 6-4 senior midfielder scored in every quarter and proved to be a constant challenge for the Redhawks' defense.   Newman added a pair of goals late in the second quarter that helped Hilbert seize full control of the contest.
