HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Athletics Department is pleased to announce the Hilbert College Athletes of the Week for February 9, 2026.
Bianca Iten (Women's Basketball) and Justin Veal (Men's Volleyball) were recognized for their athletic performances during their respective team's run last week.
Bianca Iten (Cape Coral, FL/North Fort Myers) recorded a team-best three assists while chipping in 13 points and seven rebounds in the Hawks' AMCC victory over Pitt-Greensburg February 7. The 5-4 guard pulled down four offensive rebounds and hit 3-of-4 from the foul line in her lone contest last week. With the weekend win, Hilbert recorded an AMCC sweep over Greensburg this winter as the Hawks continue to battle for top 6 seed heading into the postseason tournament in two weeks.
Justin Veal (Amherst, N.Y./Sweet Home) powered the men's volleyball attack across two matches last week. The 6-7 outside hitter appeared in all seven sets, averaging 2.71 kills per set off an impressive .368 hitting percentage. Veal recorded 19 kills with one five hitting errors and added three digs, two assists and two solo blocks in the Hawks straight set loss to St. Vincent and their 3-1 loss to Hiram.
