HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Athletics Department is pleased to announce the Hilbert College Athletes of the Week for September 22, 2025.  

Ja'Lynn Sanders (Women's Soccer) and Lindsay Madigan (Women's Volleyball) were recognized for their athletic performances during their respective team's run last week. 

Freshman Ja'Lynn Sanders (Bradenton, FL/Palmetto) carried the Hawks to an undefeated week after they picked up two non-conference wins.  The 5-8 forward recorded her first career hat trick in the Hawks' 4-0 victory over Theil College midweek and tacked on her fourth goal in Hilbert's second clean-sheet victory of the week against SUNY Cobleskill (2-0).  Sanders earned eight of the Hawks' 14 points and attempted 12 of the team's 43 shots on goal.  Sanders currently leads the AMCC with seven goals, 15 points, 50 shots and 27 shots on goal. 

Freshman Lindsay Madigan (Warren, PA/Warren) led the Women's Volleyball team with a team-best, 29.5 points, 21 kills, 30 assists and second-best 22 digs over three victories last week. Her overall effort paced the team from defense to offense as they earned the program's first victory over Houghton University and a weekend sweep over Elmira College.  She recorded one double-double posting 12 assists and 14 digs against the Highlanders and led the Hawks with 12 kills in the nightcap victory over Elmira. Madigan is currently ranked 8th in assists, seventh in service aces and 12th overall in points.
