2025 Women's Soccer Season Preview

2025 ROSTER

The 2025 Hilbert Women's Soccer team is a talented and balanced squad that will look to get contributions from all classes. The Hawks feature 12 returners (four seniors, four juniors, and four sophomores) as well as seven freshmen as the team aims to combine experience and youth to outperform its' preseason AMCC ranking.

The senior class of Vanessa Van Slyke, Madison Matuszak, Laura Smith, and Jessica Dyche, bring a wealth of experience to the roster, coming into the season combing for 8,089 career minutes played. Van Slyke, who was named as a "Player to Watch" in the AMCC poll, led the Hawks with four goals on 17 shots a year ago, while Smith has racked up nine career points from her midfield position. Matuszak (41 career starts) and Dyche (24 career appearances) will be key to the backline of the Hawks.

Joining Van Slyke as a "Player to Watch" is junior goalie Keira McFarland, who already ranks eighth in program history with 176 saves after two seasons. McFarland started 13 games for Hilbert last fall, making 128 saves while recording a shutout against Pitt-Bradford.

Smith, Evin Stauffer, Michaela Olson, and Julia Fabiano provide the Hawks with durability and familiarity, as they each started all 16 of the team's games last season. Stauffer has racked up 10 points and 43 shots in her two-season career, while Olson has made 31 starts in two years, contributing five points.

Fabiano, Alex Frydel, Anastasia Gavette, and Emily O'Sullivan make up a Hilbert sophomore class that comes into year two experienced off 36 combined starts in their rookie campaigns.
