HAMBURG, N.Y. – The United East Conference (UEC) released the final results from the 2024 UEC Track and Field Championship meet held May 4th and 5th.

Zy'Mere Covington, Maddie Fusco and Tahlia Kosek helped Hilbert College earn four All-United East medals by the end of the two-day meet.

Maddie Fusco earned two honors, having won the 5000-meter run in 19:19.09 after taking second place in the 1500-meter run (5:01.68).

Zy'Mere Covington leaped to a second-place finish in the triple jump covering 12.35 meters. He was close to picking up a second honor after finishing in fourth place in the 100-meter dash.

Tahlia Kosek took third place in the high jump (1.42-meters) and was close to earning her second, but the Hawks' 4x400 relay team finished in fourth place.  She also scored in the top 8 in the 100 hurdles and javelin toss.

The Hilbert College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams joined the three other Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference teams competing as affiliate members in the UEC championship weekend. All teams competed for the UEC Team Championship in addition to vying for a top three finish to earn All-United East honors.

Hilbert College Track and Field had a nice showing with both teams taking 7th place.  The Women's team scored 39 points while the men strung together 29 points.

Both the Men's and Women's teams shattered the records book this spring. The Men's team set 11 records in the outdoor season and nine records during the indoor season while the women matched the outdoor results (11) but set only six during in the indoor season.
