Coaches Award:
Jamal Harris Jr.. Jamal is an incredibly hard worker and pleasure to coach. He was willing to run where ever the team needed him to and the coaching staff was very appreciative of his willingness to help. He was a tremendous competitor on the track and has completely changed the type of runner that he was in high school where he only focused on the sprints.
Most Improved Runner: Jason Vullo. Jason joined the track team at the start of the outdoor season and quickly made an impression. He followed up his outstanding play on the soccer pitch by being a natural in the 400-meter dash. His 53.16 time set the new program record in the 400-m and helped the 4x400 team score points at the United East Championships while setting a new program record.
Most Valuable Runner: Zy'Mere Covington. Zy'Mere was the jack of all trades for the Hawks this year. He scored the program's first points in University of Rochester Alumni Invite and made steady improvements in his times and distances as the spring season progressed. Zy'Mere established program records in the 100-meter dash (11.25), the triple jump (13.01m) and was the second leg in the 4X100 record setting relay (44.20) at the United East Conference Championship. He was named a UEC All-Conference athlete for his 2nd place finish in the triple jump at the championship meet.
