AMHERST, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Men's Track and Field team competed side-by-side against Division I and Division II teams and performed well.
The Hawks scored 34 points today with five different program records falling at the University of Buffalo Alumni Invite.
Zy'Mere Covington led the way scoring 11 points after setting two new records in the track and field program. With his second-place finish, Covington scored 10 points in the triple jump (13.0M) and one point with a 23.37 time in the 200M dash.
Nazir Mckelley added six points in the triple jump with a 11.95M distance while
Lemario Jones went 1.70M up in the high jump, picking up four points.
Noble Arterberry's 10.20M toss also grabbed four points as did the 4x400 relay team of
Jamal Harris Jr.,
Sam Holden,
Jason Vullo and
Nick Baritot (3:48.00).
Cam'Ren Brown (1.70M | long jump) and
Ben Anderson (9.11M | shot put) each earned two points while
Zai'Mar Covington 5.17M long jump scored the final one point today.
Covington (200M & Triple Jump), Vullo (400M), Jones (High Jump), and Arterberry (Shot Put) set new program records today.
Hilbert will conclude their regular season schedule with a quick trip to St. John Fisher University next Saturday, April 27th before they focus on the AMCC/United East Conference Track and Field Championship which will be held in Erie, Pa, the first weekend in May.
