Baseball Team Lands On ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award List

HAMBURG, N.Y. - The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced the Hilbert College baseball team as recipients of the 2023 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award. The Hawks were one of 161 Division III teams to be recognized for their efforts off the field and joined Mount Aloysius and Penn State Behrend as the three AMCC teams awarded.

"I'm extremely proud of the efforts of our team over the past year," said head coach Drew Fittry. "Their commitment to excellence between the lines and in the classroom has been outstanding."

To earn the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, a team's head coach must be a member of the ABCA while posting a team grade-point average of 3.0 or better.
