HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce its four-year agreement between the school and Under Armour to be the official outfitter for all of the 15 Hawks athletic programs. 

With this announcement, Hilbert has also extended their relationship with BSN sports to be the official provider of Under Armour products for the life of this deal.

Director of Athletics, John P. Czarnecki stated, "Expanding upon our relationship with BSN Sports, it is exciting to align ourselves with another leader in the industry in Under Armour.  The partnership with Under Armour will allow Hilbert's student-athletes to be outfitted head-to-toe in some of the best product on the market today.  It is an exciting time to be a Hawk as we move forward with a new identity and a consistent brand among our 15 varsity sports teams."

Over the next few years, the athletic teams will be phased into Under Armour uniforms, but beginning August 2018 all Hawk student-athletes and coaches will be outfitted in Under Armour travel and practice gear along with footwear.

Founded in 1996 by former University of Maryland football player Kevin Plank, Under Armour is the originator of performance apparel – gear engineered to keep athletes cool, dry and light throughout the course of a game, practice or workout.  The technology behind Under Armour's diverse product assortment for men, women and youth is complex, but the program for reaping the benefits is simple: wear HeatGear® when it is hot, ColdGear® when it's cold and All Season Gear® between the extremes.

The deal, which goes into effect June 1st, 2018 will be serviced by BSN Sports., who has become the best supply network in sports through the growth of its core sporting good business and through the acquisition of leading team dealers since 2004.  BSN, founded in 1972 as a factory-direct equipment company, has become the largest distributor of team sports apparel and equipment in the United States.  Hilbert has been partnered with BSN Sports for the last three years.    

This agreement will assist in enhancing the branding of Hilbert College athletics, giving the department a unique identity that no other Western New York institution has.  This deal will be the first of its kind in the area, setting Hilbert apart from all other local colleges and universities.   

In addition, alumni, parents and fans will be able to purchase official Hawks Under Armour gear through online stores offered by individual teams and/or the athletic department.
