Hilbert College Athletics

Nicholas Parucki was a force from the field last week which helped him earn his first career Hawk of the Week honor.  The sophomore forward was consistent from the floor offensively and he made things difficult for his opponents defensively as the Hawks went 1-1.

The 6-6 forward scored 36 points and blocked five shots while dishing five assists in Hilbert’s AMCC win over Pitt-Greensburg (104-62) after the Hawks slipped at Nazareth earlier in the week.  Parucki shot 63% from the floor in 20-minutes per game.

The West Seneca East product made 10-of-15 shots (20 points) from the floor, grabbed six rebounds and deflected three shots against the Bobcats from Greensburg.  Earlier in the week, Parucki notched 16 points sinking 7-of-12 shots.  He was a force in the Hawks’ second half-rally when he pushed in 14 in points making 6-of-8 field goals and going 2-of-2 at the foul line before they dropped the Empire 8 contest (82-65).

Parucki currently leads the AMCC league in field goal percentage earning a 61.1% rate while averaging 13.7 points per game and 4.3 rebounds for 4-3 Hilbert (7-6 overall) who sit in 5th place in AMCC standings.
