Not only did she lift the women’s basketball team with the game-winning bucket, Kelsi Ebert became the program’s All Time Steal leader over the weekend. For her all-around impressive performance, Ebert earned her 5th Hawk of the Week honor this season as she winds down her final year of collegiate competition.
The Frontier product collected 40 points, 12 steals, 10 assists and nine rebounds as she helped keep the team’s play-off hopes alive. Ebert averaged 20 points, six steals, five assists and 4.5 rebounds in 39 minutes per game for Hilbert who went 1-1 last week. She finished with an impressive 45.5% from the field and knocked down 50% of her 3-point shots.
The 5-7 guard posted 18 points while adding seven steals and five assists as she played in the full 40-minute, mid-week defeat at D’Youville. She rebounded over the weekend. Ebert scored Hilbert’s final five points in the Hawks’ come-from-behind victory. The third-year student-athlete drained a 3-point shot pulling the Hawks within one, with 60-seconds on the clock. After a team time-out, Ebert lifted Hilbert to victory hitting the game-winner before time expired.
Ebert is currently ranked 3rd in the AMCC in steals (74), 4th in assists (89), 8th in scoring (16.4) and 15th in FT% (74.3%). She became the basketball program’s All Time leader in steals (147) with a leading 2.2 steals per game average. She set the program’s Single Season steals record earlier this year and currently sits at 72 with two games left on the regular season schedule.
