Nikolas D'Andrea was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week today for the fifth time this season.
Nikolas D'Andrea (North Tonawanda, NY/ North Tonawanda | Medaille) closed out his senior season with another strong week for the Hawks with 64 total kills, hitting .410. He also added five assists, four aces, 73 receptions at .945, with 12 digs, averaging an impressive 5.33 kills per set and 5.7 points per set. Against Houghton, D'Andrea registered 19 points, which included 19 kills (4.75 kills per set) and four digs while swinging at a .231 clip. In a win vs. Mount Aloysius, D'Andrea recorded 26 points (6.5 points per set) with 23 kills (5.75 kills per set), a .528 hitting percentage, five digs, and three service aces. In the Hawks' final game of the week, D'Andrea racked up 23 more points (5.8 points per set) on 22 kills (5.50 kills per set), .476 hitting percentage, three digs, and a service ace.
D'Andrea finished AMCC regular season play first in the conference in points (209.5), points per set (4.9), kills (188), kills per set (4.37), total attacks (453), and total attacks per set (10.53).
