Newman Named Second Team All-Conference

HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference released the 2026 Men's Lacrosse Postseason honors this morning and Hilbert senior midfielder Kristopher Newman was named to the conference's Second Team.

Newman, a two-year team captain, earned his second career postseason honor today. The 2025 AMCC First Team All-Conference member earned the program's first HCLC postseason honor today after leading the Hawks on and off the field this spring. The 6'5 Milford, Virginia native paced Hilbert in both goals and points with 22 and 24, respectively. He also led the Hawks with 59 total shots and was fourth on the squad with a .373 shooting percentage.

2026 saw Newman set career-high in goals, points, game winning goals, shots, and shots on goal as he was key in controlling the pace of the Hawks' offense. In his final contest, Newman tallied seven goals, a new personal game-high and the third most goals scored by an HCLC player in a single-game this season. Newman also finished this season seventh in the conference in goals per game with 2.44.
