HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Athletics Department is pleased to announce the Hilbert College Athletes of the Week for May 5, 2025.
Alex Ellison (Baseball) and Griffin Miller (Lacrosse) are being recognized for their athletic performances that led to their team's success last week.
Alex Ellison (East Aurora, NY/St. Mary's of Lancaster) turned in the best week of his career for Hilbert Baseball, hitting a blistering .750 during a 2-game skid last week. The 5-11 junior infielder went 3-for-4, with a 1.000 slugging and .714 On base percentage. He scored three runs and stole one base after hitting one double and drove in two runs.
Griffin Miller (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) did everything he could to stay on two feet while keeping the Hawks in the game. The 6-1 goaltender went 121:04 minutes between the pipes and faced 94 shots over two AMCC postseason tournament games. Miller recorded 32 saves (.561) while allowing 12.4 goals per game through the final two games of his stellar career.
