HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College sophomore
Jenna Angle became the first Hilbert College Women's Bowler to earn a post-season honor after the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference announced the 2025 Women's Bowling Postseason Honors today.
Angle was named to the Second Team as one of the league's top 10 bowlers in 2024-25.
William Smith grabbed two of the top honors, with Michaela Morgan tabbed the Bowler of the Year and her coach, Heather Sterner shared Co-Coach of the Year honors with Saint Vincent College's Jeff Zidek. Penn State Behrend's Lilli Holt was named the Newcomer of the Year.
Angle earned her first All-Conference honor and became the first Hawk to land on an All-AMCC team.
She served as the anchor for the Hawks this season, registering an overall 177.6 average through 36 games. She rolled her career and program-high 255 against D'Youville University February 22nd and was reliable coming through in clutch moments this winter.
The Lackawanna, NY native demonstrated both endurance and skill while finishing 11th in PCPI percentage which placed her among the conference's best. Angle ranked in the top 10 in multiple key statistical categories, including individual scoring average, strike percentage, single-pin space percentage, and 10th frame scoring as an anchor bowler.
The 2024-25 Hilbert Women's Bowling team, under the leadership of first-year co-head coaches
Andrew Rettig and
Sara Snyder, qualified for the program's first postseason tournament, upset No. 5 Penn State Behrend and No. 3 Pitt-Bradford while dropping matches to No. 2 William Smith and No. 1 Saint Vincent College in the Mega Match Tournament and finished in third place. The 13-59 Hawks played deeper into March than any other team in program history.
