CHESWICK, Pa. - Hilbert Bowling stayed in western Pennsylvania last night to compete in the Unicorn Invitational which was hosted by Saint Vincent College at Deer Lakes Bowl today.
The Hawks recorded two total pin fall Baker victories, but only one match will track in their win record since the second victory was against a non-NCAA bowling program.
Hilbert earned a 923-868 victory over Lewis before they headed to the positional round 5/6 playoff game against Alvernia to close the tournament today.
Penn State Behrend thew the highest match score against Hilbert (941-888) while Saint Vincent (824-811) and Alvernia (877-846) earned wins over the Hawks.
Hilbert's 798-778 score against Robert Morris did not count in their win/loss record.
Victoria Hanley and
Julia Stutz led the Hawks, throwing 40 frames each today. Stutz knocked down 703 pins (17.6) while Hanley pushed over 659 (16.5).
Hilbert (12-17) returns to action next weekend when they travel to Erie, Pa. for the first of two AMCC Round Robin weekend matches. Eastland Bowling Lanes will serve host for the Baker matches on November 15th and 16th.
