THE 2025-26 ROSTER
Head Coach
Rob deGrandpre's 2025-26 squad features a talented group of seven returners who will look to lead the way on and off the floor for the team's twelve incoming student-athletes.
After finishing sixth in the conference and qualifying for last season's postseason tournament, Hilbert has been picked to remain in sixth and once again make the AMCC postseason in this year's
Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Headlining the roster is junior
Larry Morse, who was named to the 2024-25 AMCC All-Conference First Team after a dominant sophomore campaign. Morse, an AMCC Player to Watch in this season's pre-season poll, nearly averaged a double-double a year ago, with 17.3 points and 9.6 rebounds a night. The 6-5 forward from Endicott, NY scored at least ten points in all 26 games, while leading the AMCC in rebounds with 249. Morse currently sits atop the program FG% leaderboard after connecting on 59% of his attempts over his first two seasons in Hamburg.
Joining Morse as an AMCC Player to Watch is senior forward and captain
Ronnie Lewis. Lewis played in all 26 of the team's games in 2024-25, making 23 starts. Last year was a career-year for the 6-4 forward from Brooklyn, NY, as Lewis set personal bests in every statistical category. His 120 total rebounds and ten blocks were both good enough for second on the squad (behind Morse).
Returning in the backcourt for the Hawks are
Sonny Williams and
Malachi Hartley. Williams, a junior guard from Hollywood, FL, tallied 85 points and 13 steals while dishing out an assist a game last year. Hartley, a 6-4 guard from Ajax, Ontario, CA, recorded 75 points, 30 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals in his freshman campaign. He scored a career-high 10 points against Pitt-Greensburg.
Jamarius Johnson,
Joshua Polk, and
Kevin Alvarado all return to the Hawks' frontcourt to round out the veterans on coach deGrandpre's squad. Johnson led the team with a .846 shooting percentage as a freshman last year.
