HAMBURG, N.Y. - Take your pick of which Hilbert College sports program to support this weekend!
Three teams will be in action at home in Hamburg, while two others will hit the road in Pittsburgh for a busy weekend of competition.
The Women's Bowling team will compete in back-to-back tournaments on Saturday and Sunday. The Hawks will roll in five traditional total pinfall matches at the Bro. Pat Lacey Memorial (Lincoln Lanes, Latrobe) on November 8, and then five total pinfall baker matches at the Unicorn Invite (Deer Lakes Bowl, Cheswick) on November 9.
Meanwhile, the Women's Volleyball team (18-10, 4-3 AMCC) will wrap up its regular season with a final conference matchup against the Carlow Celtics (7-16, 2-5 AMCC) at 3:00 p.m. in the St. Joseph Athletic Center on the Pittsburgh campus.
Back home in Western New York, Hilbert Athletics will host a tripleheader inside the Hafner Recreation Center on Friday, November 7, featuring the 15th Annual Hawks Against Hunger Men's Basketball Tip-Off Tournament. The Women's Basketball team will open the action with an early afternoon matchup against Alfred University before the men's tournament begins.
Friday Schedule:
- 3:00 p.m. – Hilbert Women vs. Alfred University
- 5:30 p.m. – Hilbert Men vs. Waynesburg University
- 7:30 p.m. – St. John Fisher University vs. Covenant College (GA)
Admission:
- $6 at the door (cash or card)
- $5 with a nonperishable food donation — all donations benefit the Buffalo City Mission as part of the Hawks Against Hunger campaign.
Then, on Saturday, November 8, the Hawks Football program will honor its seven seniors in their final home game. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to celebrate

Clifford Zeigler during Senior Day festivities beginning around 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis High School. Hilbert will host Hobart College in Liberty League play, with kickoff set for 12:00 p.m.
After the football game, head back to the Hafner Recreation Center for the conclusion of the Hawks Against Hunger Tip-Off Tournament, featuring the 1:00 p.m. consolation game followed by the 3:00 p.m. championship game.
