HAMBURG, N.Y. — The Hilbert College Men's Golf Team is gearing up for the 2025 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship Tournament, set to take place early next week.
The Hawks will travel to State College, Pa., this weekend for a practice round ahead of the two-day tournament, which begins Monday and concludes Tuesday afternoon at Toftrees Golf Resort.
Leading the team is senior Gabe Prohaska, who holds an 85.86 scoring average through seven matches. He recorded a season-best round of 81 during Hilbert's 2025 season opener at Penn Hills Golf Course. In only his second season, Alex Rumfola has been a model of consistency, posting an 88.14 average over the same span.
Freshman Joe Madden (97.00 average) will make his championship debut and has the potential to rise to the occasion. Spencer Harford and Harley Hoag round out the lineup, aiming to contribute valuable points as the Hawks look to improve their standing in the AMCC Commissioner's Cup race.
The 2025 AMCC Championship will be contested as a two-day, 36-hole, stroke-play event on Monday and Tuesday, October 13–14, hosted by Toftrees Golf Resort. Both days will begin with 9:00 a.m. tee times, with Tuesday's pairings reshuffled based on Monday's results.
The tournament winner will earn the AMCC's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Championship, scheduled for May 12–15, 2026, at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
