HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Athletics Department is pleased to announce the Hilbert College Athletes of the Week for October 20, 2025.
Jessee Jonathan (Women's Volleyball) and Gabe Prohaska (Men's Golf) were recognized for their athletic performances during their respective team's run last week.
Senior Jessee Jonathan (Basom, NY/Akron) continued to be a driving force behind the record-setting season for Hawks volleyball. The 5'2" setter played a pivotal role in Hilbert's transitions from defense to offense, helping the team remain undefeated last week with wins over two opponents who previously held a combined 22-match winning streak against the Hawks. Jessee tallied 37 assists (4.63 per set) and led the team with 11 service aces, earning 11 points for the week. Her seven aces were instrumental in the sweep of Pitt-Greensburg, while her double-double performance -19 assists and 11 digs - powered the Hawks to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Alfred State College.
Senior Gabe Prohaska delivered a standout performance in his final AMCC tournament, capping off his four-year career with historic achievements for the men's golf program. The left-handed golfer set four new program records at the AMCC Championship held October 13 at Toftrees Golf Resort. On Day 1, Gabe shot a career-best 76 - the lowest AMCC round in program history. He followed up with a 77 on Day 2, securing a Top 5 finish for the weekend, another first for the Hawks. His two-day total of 153 earned him a spot on the AMCC All-Tournament Team and set a new program record for the lowest score at the AMCC Championship.
