HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference released the 2025 Men's Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll today and Hilbert College's Brad Converse has been named the Preseason Player of the Year.

The Hawks were picked to finish in 4th place in the seven-team league which welcomes Buffalo State University and Houghton University as first-year associate members in 2025.

Senior OH Brad Converse (Wheatfield, NY/Starpoint) has been a consistent performer for Hilbert during his three-year tenure and his career stats justify this lofty selection.

The 6-0 power hitter appears in Hilbert Men's Volleyball All-Time top 6 slots in nine different categories.  He heads into his final season ranked third with 726 kills, 2.90 kills per set, 1981 attack attempts, 847 points, and 3.39 points per set.  As the fourth-ranked player with 80 service aces, he is nine away from taking over the lead and has recorded 484 digs (1.94 d/s) with the possibility of moving into the top three in the record books by graduation in May.  

Converse is a two-time AMCC Second Team all-conference selection and will graduate as a four-time AMCC Academic Peak Performer having carried a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.

Penn State Behrend was picked to repeat their AMCC championship run while Buffalo State and Penn State Altoona finished in a tie for second place.  The Hawks are predicted to finish ahead of Mount Aloysius, Houghton University and Carlow University.

The top four teams advance to the AMCC postseason tournament hosted by the top seeded team on April 11th and 12th.
