GENESEO, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Women's Track and Field team made their first appearance in an outdoor meet this afternoon and
Maddie Fusco,
Alexandra Liszkiewicz and
Tahlia Kosek picked up right where they left off last spring.
Hilbert faced the largest and most talented field of competitors at the Geneseo Early Invite, racing against Division I, II and III regional programs, giving the Hawks an idea of what to expect the rest of April.
Graduate runner
Maddie Fusco became the first Hawk in history to race in the 5000M outdoor event, setting a record of 18:59.94. Sophomore
Alexandra Liszkiewicz broke her own 200M dash record clipping the finish line in 29.74.
Junior
Tahlia Kosek competed in three events that she is familiar with: 100M hurdles, 200M and high jump, but today, she became the first Hawk to compete in the long jump setting a 4M distance record.
Hilbert returns to action next Saturday when they compete at the University of Rochester's Alumni Invitational at Edward Fauver Stadium.
