ERIE, Pa. – The Hilbert College Women's Track and Field team will compete in the program's very first conference championship this when they travel to Penn State Behrend for the United East Conference Championship meet.
Only two Hawks competed on Day 1 of the two-day championship, but they didn't hold back in their efforts. Four Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference members (Alfred State College, Carlow University, Hilbert College and Penn State Behrend) are competing as affiliate members in the UEC weekend.
Tahlia Kosek jumped to a 15th-place finish with her 3.89 m leap in the long jump, setting a new program record in the sand.
Alexandra Liszkiewicz competed in both the 100m and the 200m dashes and set a new Hilbert record in the 200 with a 28.92 time.
The Hawks will return to Erie tomorrow with the competition beginning at 11:00 am.
