HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College Athletics under the direction of Athletic Director Tim Seil, announced the 2023-24 Individual Team Awards winners and today we recognized the Women's Track and Field Award winners.

In year two of the Track and Field program, this group of athletes continued to rewrite the Hilbert Women's Track and Field record book on a weekly basis.
Tahlia Kosek scored all five of Hilbert's points at the University of Buffalo Alumni Invite and then went on to record 14 points herself at the program's very first league championship meet. The Hawks broke seven records at the United East Conference championship meet hosted by Penn State Behrend on May 4th and 5th.
Maddie Fusco scored two big wins,
Maddie Fusco
scoring 18 points herself with a 1st place and 2nd place finish, while
Madison Matuszak took a 7th pace finish scoring two points in the 400-meter dash. The Hilbert Women's 4x400 relay team of Alexandra Liskiewicz,
Tahlia Kosek,
Paige Gajewski, and
Madison Matuszak also scored 5 points with their fourth-place finish.
Tahlia Kosek earned All-United East Conference honors with her
Coaches Award: Keyara Samuel. Keyara had a positive first season with the Hawks' Track team. She worked hard and was eager to learn to improve in her craft. She has a solid future in track and field.
Most Improved Runner:
Alexandra Liszkiewicz. Alex made solid improvements in her track performances this spring. She owns both the indoor and outdoor records in the 100 (13.92) and 200-meter (28.92) dashes. She works hard in the weight room, leads by example and is a great teammate to her fellow Hawks during long days at the track.
Most Valuable Runner:
Maddie Fusco. Maddie has set the standard very high within the track and field program. She caped her career off with a impressive finish at the program's very first postseason championship meet. Maddie became a 2x All-United East Conference Track Athlete after winning the 5000-meter run along with her 2nd place finish in the 1500-meter run. As the season progressed, she set three new outdoor records while crushing the indoor season over the last two years. Maddie broke the 1000-m (3:22.6), the Mile Run (5:37.8) and the 3000-m (11:21.9) this February while maintaining last year's best time in the 800-m (2:46.83) during the indoor season. Once she stepped outdoors this March, she broke her old records in the 800-m (2:33.31), the 1500-m (5:01.68) and was one of few women who paced under 19-minutes in the 5000-m (18:59.94).
