NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Hilbert College Women's Bowling spent a full day on the lanes competing in Day 2 of the AMCC Round Robin Tournament in New Jersey.
The Hawks face five league opponents today with their first game starting after the conference-wide Senior Day Ceremony which began at 9 am inside the Bowlero Lanes.
Ashley Dixon was one of many senior bowlers honored today in the 11-team conference.
Once the competition began, Hilbert rolled five consecutive matches and went 1-4 with their solo win squeezed in the middle.
Alvernia (847-782), Penn State Behrend (756-723) took their first two games and William Smith (888-741) and St. Vincent College (797-742) finished the day with victories over Hilbert.
The Hawks earned their highest score of the weekend when they beat Pitt-Greensburg, 890-755 in the third match of the day.
Paige Mullen led the Hawks today with a 178.8 average over four games scoring team-best scores against Alvernia (170), Pitt-Greensburg (212) and William Smith (180).
Jenna Angle was the solo Hawks to throw all five matches (147 average) while
Paige Angle threw the highest score against Penn State Behrend (174) and St. Vincent College (190).
Hilbert (15-29 overall, and 5-12 AMCC) returns tomorrow for their final three matches tomorrow beginning at 9:00 am before they drive back to WNY. Be sure to follow the live action via the Women's Bowling team's Facebook page.
