KENMORE, N.Y. - Hilbert Bowling returned to Classic Lanes for a day of Baker matches in the Niagara Brunswick Fall Open.
The Hawks almost picked up a win against the only other Division III opponent and AMCC foe, Pitt-Bradford, as they trailed by 15 pins in the defeat (752-737).
Hilbert also threw total pin fall Baker matches against Mount St. Mary's (MD) (809-734), D'Youville (799-760, Roberts Wesleyan (884-731) before their Best of 7 position match at the end of the day against Penn State Behrend. The Lions 4-0 victory dropped the Hawks to an 0-5 day.
Jenna Angle led the Hawks with a 16.52 baker average, and she had strong support by
Victoria Hanley (14.77).
Hilbert (2-21) returns to action in two weeks when they get their first taste of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference only competition. The Hawks will face off against ten other league teams:Â Saint Vincent, Alvernia, William Smith, Pitt-Bradford, Penn State Behrend, La Roche, New Jersey City U, Penn State Altoona and Pitt-Greensburg at Sunset Bowl in Geneva, N.Y.
