Hilbert College Hawks
- After a 4-3-1 regular season, the Hawks earned the conference's fourth seed, the highest in program history.
- Saturday's first-round game will be the first home playoff game in program history.
- The Hawks achieved a season-high four game unbeaten streak from October 12th-26th that included conference wins over Penn State Altoona, Pitt-Greensburg, and La Roche. The team also tied Pitt-Bradford in this span.
- Hilbert has five players leading the way offensively with Carter Burke (15), Jason Vullo (10), Chris Smith (9), Cam Murdie (8) and John Schroth (8) all recording at least eight points on the season.
- Burke ranks third in the conference in assists (4), sixth in points (10), and twelfth in goals (3). Smith (17th – 7), Schroth (20th – 6), and Vullo (20th – 6), all rank within the top ten in the conference in points as well.
- Freshman goalkeeper Daniel Downes finds himself fourth in the conference in both saves (30) and wins (3) after an impressive rookie campaign.
- In front of Downes, the unit of Murdie, Schroth, Jacob Donner, and Jacob Korte have been solid all season holding opponents to 2.67 goals per contest.
- In the midfield, Ryan Michelsen has chipped in with three points on a goal and an assist while also controlling the middle of the pitch for the Hawks.
- In his third year at Hilbert, Head Coach Jonny Black is taking the team to its' third consecutive trip to the AMCC playoffs.
Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats
- The Bobcats finished 5-11-1 overall, with a 4-4 conference record to earn the AMCC's fifth seed.
- Greensburg is looking to make it to their third consecutive conference semifinal with playoff wins in each of the last two seasons.
- The team has won two of their last three contests heading into postseason play with shutout victories over La Roche and Carlow.
- Matt Armenio has been relied upon to create much of the Bobcat offense this year as the sophomore forward has tallied 23 points on ten goals and three assists. With seven goals and 16 points in AMCC play, Armenio is ranked in the top three in both categories.
- Leyton Takac, Ethan Rose, and Cole Kleger have controlled the playmaking duties for Greenburg with the trio combining for seven assists.
- In goal, Brett Barnes has made six conference starts with a 3-3 record while making 25 saves and allowing 1.33 goals against per game.
- Greensburg is coached by Marc Bucci in his sixth year with the program. Bucci has led the Bobcats to back-to-back conference semifinal trips and is coaching the team to in its' fourth straight conference tournament.
Series History
- The Hawks and Bobcats have faced off fourteen times with Saturday's meeting marking the first time the sides with square off in the postseason.
- Hilbert won 3-2 against Greensburg earlier this season. John Schroth opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a penalty kick, and Jason Vullo and Carter Burke each recorded second-half goals to clinch the away victory for the Hawks. Daniel Downs made five stops in net in the win.
- This season's win over the Bobcats ended a seven-game skid by the Hawks against Greensburg and improves Hilbert to 4-10 all-time.
