HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College Men's Soccer hosted Westminster this afternoon as the Hawks continued non-conference play. The Hawks and the Titans played to a scoreless first half, but a pair of second-half goals from the visitors would be the difference in a 2-0 Westminster victory.
The Hawks generated several quality chances during the opening 45 minutes and matched Westminster with seven shots in the first half.
Hamso Dagane,
Cam Murdie,
Vincent Nkurunziza,
Brian Frazer, and
Cheyne Morton each recorded attempts as Hilbert and Westminster entered halftime tied 0-0.
In goal,
Colten Wolowski helped keep the match scoreless with a pair of first-half saves.
The visitors found the breakthrough in the 59th minute on a header, before extending the lead in the 85th minute with an insurance marker.
Wolowski remained busy throughout the second half and finished the match with eight saves.
Dagane led Hilbert with three shots, while Morton placed two shots on target. The Hawks finished with eight shots and four corner kicks on the evening.
