Hilbert College Hawks

• The 2023 Hilbert Men's Lacrosse team is making the program's seventh overall appearance in the United East Conference (former NEAC) post-season tournament
• The Hawks (3-8) earned a 4th seed and will travel to St. Mary's City, MD for the semifinal contest
• Hilbert (2-3) will battle against the No. 1 St. Mary's College (5-0) Wednesday, May 1st, 2023 at the Jamie L. Roberts Stadium
• Joey DiMaria leads the offensive charge with 32 points fueled by a team-best 24 goals and eight assists 
• Ryan Davis (21 points) and Kevin Doyle (17) also notched double digit goals with Doyle scoring three man-up goals
• Ryan Fitch serves as the team's primary faceoff specialist, winning 92 restarts this spring while grabbing a team-best 82 ground balls and causing 22 turnovers
• Joseph Gorman leads with a team-best 37 caused turnovers and adds 32 ground balls while Mason Shehadi and Connor Salamida provide pressure defensively, each recording 13 caused turnovers
• Goalie Griffin Miller (2-8) has appeared in 570 of the Hawks 660 minutes of action this spring and is credited with 144 saves of the 474 shots faced (.529)
• Jason Sage (15 points|9g,6a) joins DiMaria, Salamida, Fitch, and Gorman as the only players to have started all 11 games this year

St. Mary's Seahawks

• St. Mary's (12-5) will host the United East Conference semifinal game Wednesday, May 3
• The Seahawks secured the No. 1 seed in the four-team postseason tournament after sweeping all UEC opponents
• St. Mary's has dominated every UEC opponent, winning by double digits.
• Hilbert played the Seahawks to the closest margin, with SMC winning 17-6
• St. Mary's has multiple weapons offensively, outscoring all opponents (287-148)
• 12 different players have posted double figure goals, led by three with 30-each: Aiden Doyle, Joshua Martel and Walker Kirzman
• Keegan Preis leads the league with 54 assists (20 g) and the team with 74 points
• Ethan Little is credited with 35 caused turnovers and 54 ground balls while Quinnten Harfield adds pressure with 20 caused turnovers and 36 ground balls
• Mitch Boudreau has won .628-percent of his 336 faceoffs (211-336) generating the Seahawks attack
• Goalie Ben Robertson (11-5) has made 118 saves (.478) in the 824:39 minutes between the pipes

Series History

Hilbert and St. Mary's have just recently began their battle on the turf, as St. Mary's joined the United East Conference at the start of the 2022 season.  The Seahawks took two from Hilbert (19-0 | 17-6)
