HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College junior Outfielder
Thomas Evans was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Baseball Player of the Week today.
The 6-4 center fielder was electric at the plate this past week, recording multi-hit games in all six of Hilbert's contests, including a 3-hit performance in the Hawks 14-6 win on Monday over Medaille. Evans posted an outstanding .542 batting average, .958 slugging percentage and 1.565 OPS while recording six extra base hits, including a home run.
The Orchard Park native scored nine runs, logged eight RBI and stole five bases. Evans reached based in 17 of his 28 plate appearances on the week, good for a .607 on base percentage.
After his strong performance this past week, the Hawks outfielder currently sits Top 5 in the AMCC in hits (2nd), extra base hits (2nd), total bases (2nd), triples (2nd), home runs (3rd), stolen bases (3rd) and runs (4th).
