The AMCC Men's Volleyball Game of the Week features the Hilbert College Hawks and the Saint Vincent College Bearcats, two teams who are tied in conference standings with 1-1 records. 

The Hilbert College men's volleyball team has been competitive in every set this season even though their 2-6 overall record doesn't reflect it. The Hawks earned the program's first-ever victory over AMCC foe, Medaille University and moved to 1-1 in the AMCC standings. Hilbert runs their offense through Brad Converse (2.10 kps), Chris Laboy (2.00 kps), and Alex Overhoff (1.69 kps). Setter Austin Chandler is credited with 6.00 assists per set and Ryan Levcik holds a slight edge in digs per set (1.83) over Converse and Overhoff, who each lift 1.79 dps.  When not in the back row defensely, Converse is at the net and leads with 11 block assists, just one more than Dylan Suter. Both Overoff and Connor Higgins are credited with five solo blocks.

The Bearcats (2-3) evened their AMCC record to 1-1 on the early season with a 3-0 sweep of Penn State-Altoona on Tuesday, Jan. 31, which marked the Bearcats' first-ever victory over the Lions in five meetings. Senior Matthew Minkin, a 2022 third team All-AMCC selection, has led the Bearcat offense this season with an average of 3.24 kills per set, notching 12 or more in three of SVC's first five matches. Freshman Zebadiah Wyant is averaging 3.0 kills, while freshman Shawn McSwiggan has averaged 2.47 kills on a team-best .211 hitting percentage and junior Zach Mumpower has totaled a team-best nine blocks. In his first season running the SVC offense, freshman setter Zach Wyant averages 8.53 assists and 1.94 digs, along with a total of eight blocks and four aces.

The Bearcats are 3-0 all-time against the Hawks, sweeping a pair of neutral site matches last season.
