HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College Athletics is excited to release the Men's Volleyball schedule along with the 2023 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Men's Volleyball Pre-Season Poll.
The AMCC league created a North and South Division with all the north schools (Hilbert, Medaille, Wells, Thiel and Penn State Behrend) playing in a home / away series while the Hawks will play each of the south schools (Thiel, Saint Vincent, Penn State Altoona, Geneva and Hiram) which totals 13 league games.
Hilbert was picked to finish in 8th place in the 2023 Men's Volleyball Pre-Season Coaches' Poll which was released this morning.
In total, the men's volleyball schedule is comprised of 10 home matches, nine away events and five neutral site competitions which give the Hawks a total of 24 matches this spring.
The Hawks open the 2023 season competing at Baldwin Wallace Invite January 21 and 22, the first of two multi-day tournaments on the schedule this spring. Hilbert will also travel to SUNY Potsdam midway through the season on February 17 and 18.
Hilbert added four non-conference contests which are all at home in the Hafner Recreation Center this year: Elmira, SUNY Poly, Russell Sage, and St. John Fisher University.
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference portion of the schedule begins January 24th with a home game against Medaille University.

Calvin Crosby will guide the Hawks in his fourth year at Hilbert. The Hawks return seven players from the 2022 season and are excited to take the court again in a few weeks.

Austin Chandler were recognized on the Players to Watch section of the Pre-Season Poll as voted by the ten league coaches.
Professor Amy Smith, Ph.D., will once again serve as the team's Faculty Team Advisor and will continue to assist the coaching staff and student-athletes with academic matters and concerns.
