HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College men's volleyball team returns to action this weekend (Feb 5 and 6) when they make their annual appearance at the Golden Flyer Invitational hosted by Nazareth College.

Video) and then take on cross-town rival D'Youville College at 6pm (Live Stats).
The following morning, Hilbert returns to Pittsford, NY for their 11am match against Elmira College (Live Stats) and will close-out the tourney against another local foe, Medaille College at 1pm (Live Stats/
Video).
After two weeks of competition, the Hawks are off to their best start in the program's history. Hilbert is 3-1 with 3-0 victories against D'Youville, Adrian and Olivet Colleges. The royal and white fell to Wittenberg last Saturday as their only blemish this spring season.
When the NCAA Division III men's volleyball national stats were released February 1st, the Hawks were ranked #2 with 12.25 digs and #4 with 2.83 service aces per set. They also appear in five other categories as one of the top 70-ranked teams.
Individually, junior
Adam Heftka is ranked #10 in aces per set and #30 in assists per set. Senior
Korey Schwab is #34 in aces per set, #69 in hitting percentage, #84 in kills per set and #74 in points per set. Sophomores
Tanner Makowski and
Ryan Schwab appear twice in the top 100; Makowski at #75 in aces per set and Schwab at #83 in digs per set.
Freshman
Michael Podgorny's name dots five of the seven categories. The OH/MB is #15 in aces, #27 in digs, #80 in hitting percentage, #59 in kills and #47 in points per set. Rookie
Tyler Sieczkarek chimes in at #22 in hitting percentage.
