Shaheem Ellis (Rochester, N.Y./Edison Tech) drove Buffalo State crazy on defense Friday night as he drilled the Bengals for 28 points, hitting 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.  

The 5-10 senior guard shot 50% from the floor hitting 9-of-18 from the floor along with making all six free throws.  

Ellis chipped in 10 points and four assists in the championship game, and he heads into the second week of the season leading the Hawks with 19 points, 3.5 assists, as well as .462 3-point field goal percentage average in 30.5 minutes per game.
