Eric Flores finished his collegiate career in style as he earned his first Hawk of the Week honor in his final week of competition. This marks the second time in his four-year career where Flores, as a major contributor to his team’s success, earned the weekly honor.
The senior OF from San Diego, CA posted his best career numbers in the baseball team’s final pushed towards play-offs.
Flores posted a .500 average, scored four runs and the nine RBIs were just under half of his season total 22 runs batted in.
The Hawks swept Medaille (8-7, 3-2) dropped a pair to Pitt-Greensburg (15-10, 16-9) and suffered a First Round AMCC playoff loss to Penn State Behrend (4-1, 9-8) to end their season at 11-24.
He earned at least one hit in five of the six games played and was on fire against Greensburg going 7-for-7, scored four runs with 5RBI. Flores, in the Buffalo Cup sweep over Medaille, went 3-for-7 earned an RBI’s off all three hits and scored one run.
