Hilbert College Athletics

Defender Kaitlyn Sobczak was the rock on the back line for the Hawks all week.  She was a consistent leader for a injury-depleted defensive core.  Sobczak was shot stopped, a ball winner and play developer in Hilbert's two games.  The Arcade, NY (Pioneer), third-year player showed her determination and tenacity as the Hawks went 1-1 for the week.

The Women's Soccer team went 1-1 on the week but closed Saturday with the program's first victory over Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) foe Mount Aloysius in nine years.  After that win, Hilbert stayed above water in the hunt for the right to host a First Round play-off game.
