Nicholas Bentivegna continues to lead the Hilbert men’s cross country team and earned his first Hawk of the Week honor this fall.

The sophomore runner turned in his fastest 8K time of the season this weekend at the CCOC race hosted by William Smith College. The running conditions were cold and windy at the Seneca Lake State Park course but Bentivegna managed the terrain intelligently.

The Rochester native clocked in at 30:55.6 and earned his fastest time this year as he prepares for the AMCC Championship race in two weeks. Bentivegna has been Hilbert’s fastest runner in five of the six races he competed in this year.
