Tia Card (Ice Hockey) and Caitlin Conrad (Ice Hockey) are being recognized for their athletic performances that led to their team's success last week. The Hawks opened their 2024-25 season with a weekend series at Hood College (MD) and played the tightest back-to-back series in program history.
Junior Tia Card (Burlington, ON/Dr. Frank J. Hayden Secondary School) was outstanding in net. She recorded 72 saves over 120:06 minutes of action and finished with a .916 save percentage in Hilbert's 3-2 and 4-3 overtime loss.
The 5-3 net minder stood on her head blocking shots while still finding the presence of mind to send the rebounds away from Hood and into the corners.
Card showed out for her teammates, and they responded to her intensity.
