HAMBURG, N.Y. – Men's Basketball junior
Larry Morse has been named the 2025-26 Hilbert College Male Athlete of the Year, as selected by the Hawks' head coaches and support staff.
Morse was a dominant force for a Hilbert Men's Basketball squad that finished the year 16-11, including a first-round AMCC victory.
The 6'5 forward from Endicott, NY, was an AMCC First-Team and D3hoops.com Region 7 Third-Team honoree after averaging 18.8 points and 8.3 rebounds a game. Through the regular season, Morse led the AMCC in overall field goals made (206) and field goal percentage (61.49). He also finished second in points (470), points per game (18.8), offensive rebounds (80), total rebounds (208) and rebounds per game (8.3). Defensively, Morse tallied 18 blocks to rank fifth in the conference.
Morse began the season earning a spot on the 15th Annual Hawks vs Hunger Tournament All-Tournament Team in November and was named AMCC Player of the three times during the year.
Amongst all NCAA Division III players, Morse finished the campaign tied for 11th in both field goal percentage (61.49) and double doubles (11 total). Morse also ranked 14th nationally in made FG (206).
The 2025-26 season saw Morse set a new program record with 225 made field goals. He also ranked top ten on the single season points, points per game, field goal percentage, rebounds, rebounds per game, offensive rebounds, and offensive rebounds per game lists. Morse tied the program single-game points record twice with a pair of 37-point performances against Pitt-Bradford, while his 15 made field goals in both contests set a new Hilbert single-game record.
