HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College's
Jonathan Roustum was named the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week today.
Jonathan Roustum (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) was a disruptive force in Hilbert's season-opening victory over Thiel. The second-year defender caused six turnovers, scooped up 12 ground balls, plus altered multiple shots with his tenacious play. He was also a critical part of the Hilbert clearing and transition games. He was tasked with defending the best offensive player on the field throughout the game and did so in impressive fashion. In the program's first season competing in the HCLC, Roustum becomes the program's first weekly award winner in the conference.
