HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Athletics Department is pleased to announce the Hilbert College Athletes of the Week for March 30, 2026.

Joey Haynes (Baseball) and Kristopher Newman (Men's Lacrosse) were recognized for their athletic performances during their respective team's run last week. 

Joey Haynes (Wheatfield, NY/St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute | Canisius University) had three multi-hit games this week against Fredonia and Pitt-Greensburg batting .727 with a .909 slugging and 1.678 OPS. Haynes scored six runs, logged five RBI, walked twice and stole two bases. He went 3/4 with two RBI, two runs scored, and a triple in Sunday's 12-5 win over Pitt-Greensburg.

Kristopher Newman (Milford, VA/Matoaca | Medaille) led the Hilbert offense in a pair of road matchups this week. Newman, a senior midfielder, scored a team-leading six goals across the two contests. He tallied two goals on three shots on goal against Keuka, before finding the back of the net four times to tie a career high against Elmira. Newman also added a pair of ground balls, and two faceoff wins on the week.
