Real Talk About Relationships

Recognizing Abuse and Supporting Survivors

HAMBURG, N.Y. - Hilbert College's Office of Counseling, Health & Wellness, under the direction of Mr. Brian Gangloff, will host Crisis Services on campus for "Real Talk About Relationships" next month.

Please register for this PASSPORT event which will take place Monday, April 20th in Bogel Hall Room 150.

This program provides an open and informative discussion about healthy and unhealthy relationship dynamics, with a focus on recognizing the signs of abuse and understanding how to support survivors.

Participants will learn about different forms of relationship abuse and explore common misconceptions that can make it difficult for individuals to seek help.

Through guided conversation and practical examples, attendees will gain tools to identify warning signs, respond with empathy, and connect peers or themselves to available support resources.

The program aims to foster a campus culture that prioritizes respect, safety, and informed support for those impacted by relationship violence.
