HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Athletics Department is pleased to announce the Hilbert College Athletes of the Week for March 2, 2026.  

Andrew Johnson (Baseball) and Larry Morse (Men's Basketball) were recognized for their athletic performances during their respective team's run last week. 

Andrew Johnson (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls | SUNY Niagara | Georgia Gwinnett) secured the first win of his Hilbert baseball career after delivering six shutout innings in the nightcap victory over Lycoming College on February 28. The senior right-hander scattered seven hits, allowed just two walks, and struck out three while adding a putout defensively in the 6-3 win. 

Larry Morse (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) helped guide the men's basketball team to the program's sixth appearance in the AMCC Final Four weekend. The 6-5 forward earned 2026 AMCC All-Tournament Team honors after averaging 19.5 points and seven rebounds across two postseason contests. The Hawks opened with a 92-77 First Round victory before falling to top-seeded and eventual champion Penn State Behrend on February 27.
