PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Hilbert College Women's Hockey fell 6–0 on the road Friday afternoon, as Chatham capitalized early and maintained control throughout to earn the UCHC win over the Hawks. The Cougars struck three times in the opening period, adding one goal in the second and two more in the third.
Chatham opened the scoring at 5:05 of the first and doubled the lead ten minutes later before closing the period with a third marker. A lone goal midway through the second extended the deficit, and the Cougars sealed the game with a pair late in the third.
The Hawks killed off a pair of penalties in the contest and fired 14 shots on goal, led by a nine-shot final frame, but the Cougars were able to keep Hilbert off the board.

Jewely Monford delivered a standout performance in net, turning away 60 shots in the contest, including all five attempts while shorthanded. Offensively,
Kelsey Fuller,
Sadie Plotkin and
Caitlin Conrad each recorded multiple shots on goal.
Defensively,
Caitlin Conrad finished with six blocked shots, while
Amelia Murphy and
Kelsey Fuller each blocked three.
