Hawks Fall in Altoona

ALTOONA, PA - Hilbert College Women's Basketball fell 85–39 on the road Saturday afternoon at Penn State Altoona, as the Lions used a fast offensive start to take control early inside Adler Arena.

The Hawks stayed within a possession in the opening minutes after a jumper from Kayla Johnson, but Altoona responded with a string of threes and transition baskets to build a 25–8 lead after the first quarter. The Lions continued to convert from the perimeter and capitalize on turnovers throughout the second period, sending Hilbert into halftime trailing 51–14.

The Hawks generated better rhythm in the second half, highlighted by a three from Promesse Rwigamba and interior scoring from Hailey Alba and Nyema Blair. Caycee Scott provided a spark off the bench with eight points, including six points in the fourth quarter, while Mia Aldaya and Learsi Sabala added scoring late as Hilbert closed with its most efficient offensive frame.

Alba and Blair each finished with six points, while Sabala led the Hawks on the glass with 10 rebounds and added five points. Scott's eight points paced the bench unit, and Bianca Iten contributed six rebounds and went 3‑for‑4 at the line. Hilbert totaled 17 bench points and shot 38 percent in the fourth quarter to close the afternoon.
